Service Description

Restorative Therapeutic Yoga is a deeply relaxing, fully supported practice designed to help your body and mind unwind, restore balance, and reconnect. Each private session is personalized to your needs, creating a calm, nurturing space where you can release tension, recharge, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being. Unlike a traditional yoga class, Restorative Therapeutic Yoga is entirely focused on you—your comfort, your goals, and your pace. All practices are done lying down or fully supported with bolsters, pillows, blocks, sandbags, eye pillows, towels, and any additional support needed to ensure complete relaxation. There is no standing, and there are no complicated poses, just gentle movements, breath awareness, and restorative techniques that help release tension, restore energy, and promote calm. The purpose of offering this work in a private setting is to create space for conscious relaxation that promotes the relaxation response. Research shows that after approximately 20 minutes in a state of relaxed muscles, the parasympathetic nervous system may be stimulated while the sympathetic nervous system is calmed. These sessions are ideal for anyone seeking stress relief, physical ease, improved body awareness, or deeper relaxation. They can also complement an existing mental health or wellness journey, providing an additional layer of support, integration, and mind-body connection alongside other practices or therapies. Restorative Therapeutic Yoga is accessible to everyone, including individuals with limited mobility and those new to yoga. While it is rooted in yoga principles, this is not traditional yoga. There is no standing, no exertion, and no expectation of flexibility—only rest, support, and gentle awareness. Whether you are new to yoga or seeking a deeply restorative practice, these sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for your body and mind to fully unwind. Cancellation Policy

At Life of Wellness Healing Journeys, we create intentional spaces for wellness, growth, and transformation. To honor the experience of all participants and the integrity of our programs, we kindly ask you to review our attendance policies: Classes and events are intentionally kept small to provide a supportive environment for everyone. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance via our scheduling system or by contacting us directly. No-Shows (missed classes/events without prior cancellation) and late cancellations will not be made up or refunded.
